Youths douse themselves with buckets of water from the Tenza river as it flows through the village of Campagna, southern Italy, July 30, 2000. In the 13th century the village started to route water through the streets to cleanse animal waste and now once a year water from the river is routed through the streets allowing the village's 12,000 inhabitants to hold water fights, or "la secchiata".
